Before You Buy SteamVexWe Answer the Hard Questions

The questions customers actually ask deserve direct answers. Why it is built this way, why we rejected cheaper routes, where the limits are, and whether we will still take responsibility years from now are all here.

CHAPTER 01

The uncomfortable questions

01

Why put uncomfortable questions on your own website?

Straight answer

Because a product that cannot survive scrutiny has not earned your money.

I am the person behind Goehner’s. Before you buy, I want to explain why SteamVex is built this way, where we made tradeoffs, why it costs more than some alternatives, and what happens if something goes wrong years from now. You do not need to trust us first. Start by deciding whether the answers make sense.

02

Other stores list dozens of products. Why do you have so few?

Straight answer

Listing products is easy. Supporting them for years is hard.

Before a product goes live under the Goehner’s name, we study the market, refine the design, test samples, choose materials, and use it in real cleaning situations. We also make sure we can support parts, warranty claims, and customer questions after the sale.

We would rather take responsibility for a small number of well-developed products than fill the site with lookalike items that solve no clear problem.

03

Steam cleaners are everywhere. Why build another one?

Straight answer

Because many machines make steam without fixing the frustrations around it.

Small tanks need constant refilling. Boiler models make you wait for heat, pressure, cooldown, and depressurization. Steam weakens or sputters. Triggers tire your hand. Short cords limit where you can work.

SteamVex started with those everyday problems, then rebuilt the handle, heating system, reservoir, steam control, reach, safety systems, and long-term support around them.

04

Is this another cleaning gadget that looks amazing on video and ends up in a closet?

Straight answer

Steam is a tool, not magic. SteamVex is not a miracle machine.

It uses heat to soften grease, soap scum, and stuck-on residue. The brush loosens the mess, and a towel or microfiber bonnet carries it away. Heavy corrosion, deep staining, embedded mold, and damage inside a material may still require repeated treatment, a compatible cleaner, or professional help.

We would rather tell you what it cannot do before you buy than let you discover it after the return window starts.

CHAPTER 02

Why we built it this way

05

It is larger than a pistol-style handheld. Couldn’t you make it smaller?

Straight answer

We could. We chose not to make minimum size the only goal.

The 54 oz (1.6 L) tank supports about 30 minutes on Level 1 and about 15 minutes on the highest setting. When it runs low, switch the unit off, top it up, and restart without waiting for a boiler to cool down.

The main unit rests on the floor or counter. Your hand holds the control handle on the 5 ft hose, so the full tank is not hanging from your wrist. Shrinking the unit further would mean a smaller tank and more interruptions.

06

If a bigger tank runs longer, why not make it even larger?

Straight answer

Because a larger tank also means a larger, heavier machine that is harder to move and store.

Every additional liter of water adds about one kilogram, or 2.2 lb, before accounting for the larger tank and body required to hold it. That matters when you carry the unit near stairs, bathrooms, cabinets, and cars.

The current 54 oz (1.6 L) size balances cleaning time, cabinet space, filled weight, and portability. We could make it bigger. Bigger would not automatically make it better for a home.

07

Why not add a spray bottle, mop, and powered brush and call it a 10-in-1?

Straight answer

Because every added function adds cost, weight, and another failure point.

A spray system needs more plumbing. A mop needs more joints. A powered brush adds a motor and moving parts. The feature list gets longer, but so do the chances of leaks, clogs, loose connections, and repairs.

We focused on steady high-temperature steam and the brushes most homes repeatedly use. A new feature only belongs here if customers will use it often and it does not materially weaken reliability.

08

Is the capacitive-touch handle just a high-tech gimmick?

Straight answer

For a two-minute job, it may not matter. After thirty minutes, your fingers will know the difference.

A mechanical trigger requires a constant squeeze. SteamVex keeps steam flowing while your finger rests on the touch area, then stops when you release it. It is a small control change designed to reduce hand and finger fatigue during longer sessions.

09

Boiler-style handhelds are cheaper. Why didn’t you build one?

Straight answer

Because we did not want customers holding a small pressure cooker filled with scalding water.

We evaluated the boiler route. Many boiler-style handhelds combine the water tank, heater, and handle in one body. The design is common and less expensive to manufacture.

When a category races toward the lowest possible price, pressure caps, relief valves, seals, materials, and safety testing are exactly the parts customers cannot see. SteamVex keeps the room-temperature reservoir unpressurized and separate from the heating chamber. You hold a hose-connected control handle while the system heats only the water it needs.

We could have built a cheaper machine. Safety was not where we wanted to save the money.

10

Many steam cleaners start spitting water and losing steam. Will SteamVex do that too?

Straight answer

During normal operation, it should not continuously spit water or repeatedly lose steam.

One PWM control regulates water entering the heating chamber. A second works with PID temperature feedback to regulate heat. Keeping water flow matched to available heat helps prevent temperature drops, interrupted steam, and excess liquid reaching the nozzle.

A small amount of condensation during the first one or two seconds after the hose has been sitting is normal. Continuous heavy spitting or leaking is not. Stop using the unit and contact us if that happens.

11

Other brands claim 60 or even 80 PSI. Is your listed 50 PSI underpowered?

Straight answer

No. Steam cleaning cannot be judged by one larger number.

Temperature, moisture level, output stability, contact time, brush choice, and surface material all affect the result. SteamVex is rated for steady 50 PSI output, and we publish the nozzle temperature, steam settings, and runtime alongside it.

We would rather publish a number the machine can sustain than a bigger number that only looks good in a product title.

CHAPTER 03

What real use looks like

12

If it is made for car cleaning, why does it need a 13.2 ft power cord?

Straight answer

Because the nearest outlet is rarely where the work is.

A short cord forces frequent outlet changes or a long extension cord. SteamVex combines a 13.2 ft UL-listed power cord with a 5 ft steam hose for up to approximately 18 ft of combined reach.

The length is practical, not decorative. It reduces the need to chain cords or move the plug every few minutes.

13

Why isn’t it cordless?

Straight answer

Because cordless convenience does not create 1,800W of continuous heating power.

Delivering that output from a battery would require a larger battery, more weight, more cost, and still-limited runtime. We chose a cord to protect heat-up speed, steady steam, and long-term reliability.

The long cord and hose expand your working area, but the unit still needs a suitable wall outlet. If there is no outlet near the job, SteamVex may not fit that location.

14

If this is low-moisture dry steam, why can water still appear?

Straight answer

Because low moisture does not mean zero water, and steam condenses when it meets a cooler surface.

Steam left inside the 5 ft hose cools while the unit is idle. On restart, the first one or two seconds may carry a small amount of condensation. Point the nozzle into a sink or towel briefly before returning to the surface.

Condensation on cool tile, glass, and metal is also normal. Continuous heavy spitting or leaking is not.

15

At this price, why isn’t a storage case or accessory bag included?

Straight answer

Because a storage case is not a free gift. The customer ultimately pays for it.

A dedicated case adds material, packaging volume, and shipping cost. SteamVex itself fits many common cabinets and cleaning-storage areas. Another case can take more room and becomes one more item to wash and dry after holding damp or dirty brushes.

Customers who want everything together can place fully dried accessories in a container they already own. We chose to keep the standard-package cost in the product instead of requiring everyone to buy another box.

CHAPTER 04

Price warranty and long term responsibility

16

Similar products sell for far less. Why can’t SteamVex be cheaper?

Straight answer

Because a lower price has to come from somewhere.

It may come from cheaper switches, seals, heaters, power cords, materials, less quality control, shorter warranties, or support that is difficult to reach. Those differences are hard to see in a product photo and easier to see after months of use.

We could lower material standards, reduce inspection, or shorten our responsibility. Then we could not deliver the product and support we are promising.

17

When you talk about profit, are you just trying to make more money from me?

Straight answer

No. Without sustainable profit, a three-year warranty, consistent materials, and responsive support become empty promises.

Profit pays for qualified materials, quality checks, warranty replacements, customer support, and the next production improvements. We want a fair price for customers and a business healthy enough to stand behind the product years later.

18

Are you mentioning future price increases just to pressure me into buying now?

Straight answer

No. We are telling you directly how the pricing works.

The current introductory price will return to the regular price when the launch period ends. Future material, manufacturing, freight, or service costs may also require an adjustment.

Buy when the product makes sense for you. We will not protect an unsustainable low price by quietly lowering core materials or manufacturing standards.

19

Most brands offer one year. Is your three-year warranty just marketing?

Straight answer

No. A warranty is only real when the materials, design, and company are prepared to support it.

High-use parts such as the handle, controls, seals, and internal components require different material and testing standards when they are designed for a longer service life.

SteamVex includes a 3-year limited warranty. Orders that meet the current launch terms also receive a two-year extension. A longer warranty does not mean nothing can fail. It means we remain responsible when a covered problem occurs.

20

What if the product fails during the final days of year three? Will you look for a way out?

Straight answer

No. A three-year promise includes the final day of year three.

If the product is still within the applicable warranty period, we will handle the claim under the same policy. Send the order information, a description, and any useful photos or short video. We will review the facts and provide troubleshooting, repair, replacement, or another solution covered by the policy.

21

Some products get downgraded after sales take off. Will you do the same?

Straight answer

Our rule is simple: we do not trade core quality, safety, or durability for short-term margin.

Materials, components, and production methods may change over time, but a replacement must meet the existing performance and quality requirements. Customer problems also go back to the product team and influence later production runs.

Saving a little on one batch is not worth losing years of customer trust.

22

Every brand says it has great support. Why should I believe you?

Straight answer

Judge us by whether we solve the problem, not by how many promises we put on the page.

Email support@goehnerstech.com with a product or use question. We normally respond within one business day with the next step. Feedback can reach the team responsible for the product, quality, and service instead of being passed endlessly between departments.

We will not pretend every interaction is perfect. We will take reasonable problems seriously and work toward a real resolution.

23

Is ‘we listen to customer feedback’ just a standard PR line?

Straight answer

No. Support issues are one of the clearest ways we find real product friction.

Lab tests confirm whether a design meets a standard. Customers reveal what happens across different homes, surfaces, routines, and skill levels. Their comments help us improve instructions, accessories, structure, and service.

Storage, unclear accessory guidance, funnel access, hose handling, and condensation are more useful to us than a generic ‘satisfied.’ After-sales feedback is where the next production improvement begins.

24

If I criticize the product or website directly, will you ignore me?

Straight answer

No. Specific, honest criticism is more useful than a polite compliment.

Tell us about product problems, missing features, unclear copy, inconvenient pages, or anything that makes the store feel untrustworthy. We will read it and use actionable feedback to improve the product and shopping experience.

25

After all of this, what are you actually asking me to believe?

Straight answer

We are not asking you to trust Goehner’s first. We are asking you to examine whether each decision, tradeoff, and promise can be explained.

The 54 oz (1.6 L) tank balances runtime, size, filled weight, and storage. The touch handle reduces sustained grip pressure. The separate reservoir avoids placing a pressurized hot-water boiler in your hand. Dual PWM control supports steadier temperature and pressure. The long cord serves real kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and cars.

The 3-year limited warranty, launch extension, and customer support are our responsibility after the sale. Understand the strengths and limits, then decide whether SteamVex fits your home.

We are not asking you to trust the brand first. Every choice should be explainable. Goehner’s · Built for the long run
